Title: AW: (ROSE) Have anyone used Rose with multiple users in large projects ?

I worked on a project with ~120-150 SW developers in 20 cities. I dont know the number of classes - but there are a lot ...

Our project is divided into several subprojectes. Each subproject has their own mdl-file. It is logical divided in several controlled unit which are

edited by one developer per unit.
CVS via Continuus on multiple databases, synchronized via DCM (Continuus product - I think).

You should examine to build your system on some components, so that they can developed by their own teams.

    Hi,

I'm looking to get in contact with anyone who has experience using Rational
Rose Enterprise in a large development team (40-70 SW/System developers) in
large projects (5000 - 10000 classes). Anybody at all ?
What are your experience ? How do you structure the tool
(browser/mdl/cat-files etc.) to make Rose work _well_ in a multiuser
environment (using a 3rd party configuration management tool (Clear Case,
Source Safe, PVCS etc.) off course) (I'm very well familiar with the
contolled unit-mechanism on the package level).

What I'm looking for in specific is how you split large systems into smaller
manageable pieces (beyond the contolled unit-paradigme)? Do yu work on
several .mdl-files pr. system, or one mdl-file pr. system/project. How do
you structure for re-use between projects/products/departments etc. (through
    .cat-files I suppose ?)? etc. etc.

Looking forward to hear from you !

    Regards

    Arne
