A use case is made up of scenarios. Scenarios take a use case from beginning to success or abandonment. A scenario is an instance of a use case, and represents a single path through the use case. Thus, one may construct a scenario for the main/basic flow through the use case, and other scenarios for each possible variation of flow through the use case. -----Original Message----- From: Jean-Yves Garneau [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, September 20, 2001 8:45 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: (ROSE) RE: Rp. : (RUP) use case & scena rio Mr. Grady Booch use the term Scenarios before RUP. The concept is from movies ! Like I say the concept is more important than the terms ! A scenario is an instance of a given use case. The same relationship applies between a class and an object. Use case is a term for describe many scenarios (primary scenario et secondary scenarios). The term "Use case" can be replaced by "Scenarios" but RUP use "Use case" , "Basic Path" and "Alternative Path". Use case is difficult to translate in french, also I prefer the term "Scenarios", "Primary scenario" and "Secondary Scenarios". The most important is not the term but concept !
