My gut feel is - Price is something that is not static (in the world of
course !) so why not model is as a separate class and also enjoy the fruits
of a reusable component. Further, how would one handle
"Internationalization" - again u need to tinker the "price
Usecase"/component/class. Here one should recall that "change in
requirements" is something that one cannot forecast. A battle tank cannot be
designed for only a particular type of terrain (I dont know whether Afgans
have such custom -built tanks!!!!)
There is no Unique UML based model for an application and this is one of
the limitations of UML. Even after followig general guidelines two different
architechs can com up with two different Models for the same application.

The best choice depends on how you are designing your system. If I said I
thought one version was best, that would be from my interpretation of how
the system would work, which is perhaps totally different to your
interpretation of the system.

These are the sorts of decisions you have to make based on your model and
what you are trying to achieve.

It's like me asking you whether an off-road vehicle or a sports car is
best. You would immediately (hopefully) ask me what I wanted to do to be
able to answer the question.

Good luck!

Hi

I've got to model a situation where i hava a suplier and a product. What is
the best choice to deal with the price, knowing that there will be
discounts
and taxes:
- having all price "atributes" in the product class? or
- having a price class?
- having a associative class "price", associating suplier and product?

Thankyou!
