There is a XML DTD add-in in the Enterprise Edition of Rose that
will allow you to roundtrip XML DTDs. However there is currently no
support in Rose for the XML documents themselves.
If this is of use to you you will,
need to get the Enterprise edition
of Rose as the XML capability is not available in the professional
editions.

Regarding XML Schemas,
The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has just recently finished defining
what the XML-Schema language is. Rational development did not want to
get into this until the specification was finalized. Now that this is
done Rational is looking at including support for this in a future release.
Other that that vague statement, I cannot give you any particulars about
unrelease products or possible ship dates.

Note that there is this one XML
schema related script available for

This script builds on the XML

capabilities in Rose 2000e to emit an
XML-Schema representation of the
DTD being modeled in Rose. This is an
experimental sample to show the
relationship between a DTD and
Schema, is based on the W3C April

it works from a UML model of the DTD
as per the add-in provided in
the 2000e Enterprise Edition release.

There is also very *small* additional document called :
RoseXMLDTDmapping.doc In the XML add-in directory...it
maybe of some small help. Also there is a white paper
called "Migrating from XML DTD to XML-Schema using
UML"which maybe of some interest. This is located at:
