Is there a way to import files from Ms Vision to Rose.
I have several activity diagrams at MS Vision and I need to translate this
diagram to Rose.

Rational Rose RealTime was originally developed by ObjecTime, and is the
next generation of ObjecTime Developer. This is now developed and maintained
by Rational. The latest release is 2002.05.00.

You could use ObjectTime (also distributed by Rational). It uses Harrell
state charts and (essentially) class interaction diagrams as the central
modeling mechanism.
You can create static state diagrams with a drawing tool, but you lose the
power of validation through an executable model and a ready made validation
model.

We, in the West, need more of Hindu wisdom.
You ar right! "Static Models" are not sufficient. I would like to see
"behaviour" represented by State Machine (diagram) integrated with "Class
Collaboration" (diagram). Why? They share common 'things', and GUI could
allow to see 'collaboration' between State Machine model and "Class
Collaboration" model. How to do such integration and 'browsing' with
Rational Rose?

Just remember the small Hindu Mythological story/Legend that goes like
this: - The supreme Lord had 2 sons. He told them that whoever goes round
the globe first would receive "the Magic Mango". The younger started
immediately and went round the globe , the other elder brother went round
his parents and told them that it wa as good as circling the Globe since
Parents signify the World (according to the lessons taught by his parents
alone !). So the first one got the "Magic Mango" & the second came back
after completing his journey in record time only to see his brother sitting
with his parents with the Mango !!!!!.........
Keeping that light humor apart.....

I tried to use both Rational and Visio to reengineer a product. I found
Rational is far better than Visio. The only time it takes is to learn the
convention. The advantages i found are consistency.
After completition of my usage i came to a small conclusion that
Visio is a flow chart drawing application ratherthan a modelling application
