Subject: (ROSE) Reordering messages in Sequence diagramAll,
I have drawn my sequence diagram with some 25 messages but only two objects. While "drawing" it, some errors slipped in, with respect to the "location/ordering" of a message being issued from the context of the former called method, or outside of it.My attempts to "move" the messages "out of the context of the method" were both frustrating and futile.
The two switches of "Hierarchical Numbering" and "Sequence Numbering" assist in showing the problem but not solving it.
Any trick?Thanks,

Title: Reordering messages in Sequence diagram
Hi
You
can drag messages to re-order - however there are some tricks which you may find
help.
If you
use Focus of Control a lot - these have a direct effect on moving
messages. Nested messages move with the "owner" so you need to prise these
apart.
So -
when moving a messge - you will see a shadow box - this box must move *outside*
any focus of control boxes to disconnect the message. Make sure you really
grab the interaction arrow - not the text of the message.
I tend
to mutliple-select messages *below* the ones I want to move - and move them well
out of the way before trying to do any adjustments.
Hope
that solves the problem
regards
anthony
