Assuming you have the disk space, make a temp directory, copy the CD to this
temp
Directory, run setup from there. Same problem? If so do you have another
machine where
You can attempt to install this disk on to double check the integrity of the
CD?

Subject: FW: (ROSE) Windows XP support? (for Rose &
Rose RT)
Hi,
I am trying to install Rose 2002 on a Windows 2000 (SP2)
machine. When I put
the 'Rational Solutions' CD1 in the drive the Auto install
starts, but after
few seconds later I get a dialog box, showing a message
'Disk is corrupt...'
giving name of whole host of dll files that can't be
accessed ...... The CD
is not corrupt because I can copy any file from the CD to
hard drive. Could
it be the problem of 'Service Pack 2'?
Has anybody come accross this problem? Any info will be
highly appriciated.
I am trying to do an eval of the latest release and rational
has provided me
a temp liscence.
Thanks
Dipak

Rose 2002 works great on WinXP... Rose 2001 required a few
"hacks" to make
it work.

Since Rational even has a Microsoft .NET portal at DevX
(http://rational.devx.com/) as well as a long history of
Visual C++ and
Visual Basic support, I would be extremely surprised if they
won't support
the WinXP platform and continue to work closely with
Microsoft.

Hi,
Rose & Rose RT runs under Windows NT & Windows 2000; would
they also run
under Windows XP? Has somebody already experienced?
Otherwise, are ther
plans from Rational to support Windows XP?
Thank you,
