Hi

The Rose C++ is still alive (Rose 2002), you have only to activate it in the
add-in Manager.

Betreff: (ROSE) Conversion of Classic C++ Models

Hi everyone,

Since Rational decided not to support the classic C++ interface any more,
we are thinking about our alternatives:

1.
Actually, we could use the ANSI C++ add in! This, however, would drive us
into employing a new worker who would be busy for appr. 2 months with
manually
adapting function properties and class-component-assosiations that have
been
lost by Rose during the model conversion (I am talking about many hundrets
of classes).

2.
To jump on the "Visual-C++-bandwagon" is not possible for us, either,
because
we generate code for many different platforms and have to stay compiler
independent.

A solution would be that Rational fixes the problems with the ANSI-C++
model converter
which are known now for some versions of Rose. This would avoid the
additional effort for their
customers - I cannot imagine that we are the only ones who have got these
troubles!

Perhaps somebody has got a better idea - please let me know!!

Thank you in advance
