Hi,
I have a user that is trying to reverse engineer a fairly large legacy
Visual Basic project and is having problems. Basically, she says her
machine locks up after about 30 minutes of trying to perform the reverse
engineer. Here is some info from her:

First attempted to perform the reverse engineering on a Windows NT system.
Processor? Pentium III
Amount of RAM? 256MB
OS Version? Windows NT 4.0. service pack 6a
Rose Version? Rational Suite 2001 on D drive with the patch per the SDS
Rose page (2001a04.02.292.005.exe...).
VB Version? 6.0.a
Attempted to run reverse-engineering of code. Rose indicates it is pulling
in components
to support VB, hits the main component, calls VB. Task Manager shows
Visual Basic running
at 99%, chews up memory and locks up. Explorer error pops up at any time,
in or out of Rose.
Next attempted reverse engineering with Rose 2002 and VB6.0a on an XP
machine.
Installation is quirky, but both items appear to run independently.
Attempted run of reverse-engineering tool of VB Code results in the same
behavior
as before. Task manager applications tab on XP indicates
Rose is running
FlexIm is running
VB project is not responding.
Pocesses tab on Task manager shows VB6.exe running 90% or greater on cpu &
memory.

Please let me know if anyone has experienced similar problems and any known
possible solutions or workarounds.
