Good point, but since we already have a large model in Rose, I'm not sure
how well that will "export" to XDE, or if XDE is an as full featured
UML-tool as Rose.

Free, you said ? I havn't seen anything yet, but I'll check with our local
Rational office :-) Thanks for the tip :-)

Thanks !

Regards

Arne

Why would you want to use Rose Enterprise when XDE is tightly integrated
into the Visual Studio .NET environment?

I had also read somewhere on Rational's Website that XDE is free to Rose
Enterprise users....

Well, as far as I know, .NET has shipped in it's final release. Why is there
no support for .NET (C++) in the SR-1 of Rational Rose Enterprise ????

I'm not impressed !!

We have just moved to the Visual Studio .NET tool with our "old" C++ code
from the VC 6.0 days, and I was looking forward to continue working with
Rose and Visual Studio in it's new release, but NO.

Why is this ? Anyone know the answer, apart from that Rational wants to sell
XDE ?

Regards

Arne

Rational does not support technologies before they are available on the
market, which is the case with .NET.
We are committed to support .NET after the final release will be shipped by
Microsoft, as our press announcement from May 21st 2001:

After installing the 2002 version of Rose I was hoping to find .NET based
reverse engineering, does anyone know when .NET and specifically C# will be
supported?
