The following is my problem:
I created/exported the XML file with its uml.dtd file (both files are located same directory) from Enterprise Architecture uml modelling software. The Enterprise Architecture is supported UML1.3 XMI 1.1 standard. These files are going to import to Rational Rose. The version of Rational Rose is Rational Suite Enterprise Edition 2001a.4.0 and I have also installed XML Add-in (updated 2-15-2002) from Ratonal website. However, after I clicked the Import UML 1.1 XMI file under File menu, I have the following error messages: Error parsing XML file: D:\Program Files\Sparx Systems\EA310 - Demo\Export >From EA with Rose Format\EAExample.xml at line 1, col 47. See the log file for more information. Parsing: D:\Program Files\Sparx Systems\EA310 - Demo\Export From EA with Rose Format\EAExample.xml: Error: An exception occured! > > > Type:RuntimeException, Message:Could not create converter for encoding: windows-1252 Then, I opened this xml file and removed the first line "<?xml version ="1.0" encoding="windows-1252"?>" and then import this xml file again. I have the following error message: Error parsing XML file: D:\Program Files\Sparx Systems\EA310 - Demo\Export >From EA with Rose Format\EAExample.xml at line 1, col 5. See the log file for more information. Parsing: D:\Program Files\Sparx Systems\EA310 - Demo\Export From EA with Rose Format\EAExample.xml: Error: Unknown element 'XMI' Would you please tell me how to sovle this problem? Thanks.
