Title: RE: (ROSE) XDE availaibity for existing Rose users
Alexander,
You are correct that the licensing scheme for XDE is different than the standard Rational Suites scheme.  This means that there are no floating licenses or node-locked licenses.  The licensing for XDE is a per-user license.  If you are familiar with the licensing for Visual Studio, that is the same scheme that XDE will follow.  In an earlier email I had mentioned that current owners of Rose Enterprise may be entitled to 2 copies of XDE -- that is in the case of a floating license.  If you have a current Rose Enterprise then you may request 2 copies of XDE from your sales rep.    It is possible that you still may require more XDE licenses (i.e., if you're using a single floating license of Rose for 3 or more people), but hopefully that will be minimal.

Regards,
   Nansi

AFAIK there still is on thing that is not mentioned in the paragraph: There will be no more floating licenses, just node locked ones, so for some companies the costs may increase.

Am I right?

Viele Gre
