Two items.
1) Available memory. Rose uses a lot. You should be able to open multiple instances till you crunch your memory. You can use the performance monitor to measure usage. For Object select Paging File, then select Usage and Usage Peak. If either of these nears 100%, then you will want to increase the size of your virtual memory file. You can use Performance monitor to log this over a period of time or run some test loads to get acurate reading of your needs. Paging File usage is saved in Percentage "%", rather in megabytes. To convert percentage to actual memory used: Divide your Page file size by 100. Multiple this by largest percentage in log or chart. For example, on a machine with 256M paging file and a log or chart showing a peak of 50% usage, this would then be 256/100 = 2.56 2.56 * 50 = 128 2) Second issue, known problem with NT and Service Packs prior to 6a. If running NT, upgrade to SP 6a.
