I came across this problem several years ago, haven't had it since so maybe there are better work-rounds now... We selected a drive (R: for 'Rose') and mapped a virtual drive R: to the physical drive to be used on individual machines. It was a pain to manually re-control all units onto the R: drive first time, but thereafter we could put them on any MS machine by mapping a virtual drive to the one where they would really live. But send something to Rose support, so they know it's giving you grief. I would have hoped they would have fixed something better by now. Getting the units direct from a configuration tool would probably be an alternative worth considering.
