The latest release of XDE (v2002 r2) runs on NT4 SP6a - I suspect you don't have the latest release. Get hold of your local account team - they should be able to help. The CD with the eval copy of XDE that mentions Windows 95/98 actually refers to the presentation material (video clips, etc) - not the application XDE itself.
