Hi

The latest release of XDE (v2002 r2) runs on NT4 SP6a - I suspect you don't
have the latest release. Get hold of your local account team - they should
be able to help.

The CD with the eval copy of XDE that mentions Windows 95/98 actually refers
to the presentation material (video clips, etc) - not the application XDE
itself. I suspect you have the eval CD for XDE v2002 (as opposed to XDE
v2002 r2) which did not support NT4 SP6a.

regards

anthony

Subject: (ROSE) Rational XDE, WSAD 4.0.3 & Windows NT4 SP6a

Hi All,

We are trying to run XDE with IBM WSAD version 4.0.3 (we've downloaded
the
correct version of XDE) on Windows NT4.0 SP6a. It's not working, and
the
release notes for XDE say that the minimum Operating System requirements
are
Windows 2000 SP2 or Windows XP only. However, the CD copy of XDE that
we
have says that it runs on Windows 95 and 98 and this link says that it
also
runs on Win NT4 (in addition to 2000 and XP)
http://www.rational.com/products/xde/javaed/index.jsp

Does anyone know if it actually runs on NT4 with SP6a?

Thanks!
Tara.
