Thought I'd bring this feature to Rose users attention, not
because it's likely to crop up a lot, but because if it does
you may be wondering what's going on with your model.

Background:
I have a business use case model. For each business use case in
the model I have attached a Word file containing the
specification for that use case.

Now I have decided to place the use case specs under ReqPro
control. This involves creating a ReqPro file attachment for
each use case. So now I have two files attached to each use
case, one a Word document, the other a ReqPro BUC document.

I open both documents, copy the information from the word
document to the ReqPro document and close both.

[Now I realise that this may not be the recommended or 'best'
way to acheive the end result, but that's not necessarily
relevant to this thread.]

So now every use case has two attachments, 1) the now obsolete
Word document and 2) the newly updated ReqPro document.

Here's the crux - I want to clean up my model by removing the
links to the Word document from each use case. Select the file -
right click - menu pops up - select delete - click and .. my
ReqPro file is deleted leaving the obsolete link to my Word
document firmly in place.

I've closed everything, re-opened Rose and ReqPro and tried it
again, same thing.

Workaround: Delete all attachments then re-attach those you
want to keep.

Les.
