Quality Assurance is built into the process. Our Quality Engineers use the process to help ensure that we are considering the right things, capturing the right information, tracing from requirements forward, etc. We have Best Practice Metrics which are used to assess each team in the project and based on those metrics we use the process to help each team strive toward the best practice nirvana. Those metrics come from RUP and our implementation of it. Look at the Checklists for each artifact - they are a vital part of our Quality Engineering. Hope this helps, cve
