This is a forum to acquire and share knowledge about Rational products. The original email only stressed in using professional discretion regarding divulging private information. Take it for what it is and let's get on with the real purpose of the forum.
Barbara Herrmann San Diego Data Processing Corp. >>> "The Great Vobadmin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 09/27/2002 8:51:43 AM >>> Scott - :-) My name is no mystery - Jonathan Craft. I've had my handle since 1999. As far as "trolling" on various Rational User groups, I've seen it. Actually, one guy tried to pass himself off as me back in 1999. So yes, I know of at least one questionable user on this group. Now, granting a stranger access to a company's internal intranet site violates internal security policies. At the very least, confirmation of identity should be obtained through a phone call. I certainly agree. But, I know of no one in corporate America that I've worked with who would do this. Let's face it, we all know the damage that can be done by a malicious user. Anyway, keeping the forum open is fine with me. It is also good for Rational as it shows potential users that there is, indeed, a network of support and enthusiasm for its products. I enjoy watching posts from the old timers, plus I enjoy sharing my knowledge with the new comers. As far as my yahoo account goes, I use yahoo because I don't want to clutter up my office e-mail. Also, if you change assignments every 6-12 months, re-registering is a pain.
