>From the actor definition, we know ACTORS are somebody or something that
interacts with our system. I think the problem I am having is
(1)"SOMETHING", can something be another machine(e.g., File Server), I do
know usually something can be another external system; (2) "INTERACTS",
should the interaction between our system and the something always be a
dialog-like bi-directional communication, or can be an action performed by
our system, the something(e.g., File Server) doesn't necesarily response in
certain way, it will hold the files sent from our system.

Just read what I posted and realized I left out a really good rule of
thumb:
Are people using this system that you're building?  If so, I'd want to
see
actors like "Order Taker".  If you're building a system that just
involves
file transfers between systems and no people are involved then "Desktop
Subsystem" might be a viable name.  However, "Order Producer" and "Order
Consumer" (for the mainframe) would likely be better.
