Hi Peter
When you say the extensions are written in VB, do you really mean VB, or have they been written using the Rose Scripting language, which is Summit BasicScript. If it's the latter, then apart from filename and path separator conventions, my understanding is that the scripts should run in both environments.
The REI Guide, downloadable from Rational Developer Network at:
http://www.rational.net/content/images/catpulse/public/attachment/pdf/3756_1237_rose_rei_guide.pdf, has a section on the differences between Unix and Windows versions and how to create add-ins that are portable between platforms.
