I don't know about <<realize>>/<<realizes>>, except for the fact that early versions of UML used stereotypes like <<extends>>, which were later changed to <<extend>> etc. (Unless someone said, 'You need to put in <<realise>> with an 's' for the English users', and this was interpreted incorrectly!)
<<communicate>> is a stereotype in the 'UML Profile for Software Development Processes', one of the sample profiles in the UML 1.4 Specification. It may be in other versions, but that's the one I have to hand. It doesn't appear to be in the draft 2.0 Spec.
It's defined as follows:
Communicate is an association between
actors and use cases that is used to denote
messages that may be sent between them.
It may also be used between boundary,
control, and entity, and between actor and
boundary.
