While watching Roseanne just now, I realized that one of my favorite scenes is when Fisher beats up Jackie and Dan says 'what happened?' and Roseanne says 'Fisher beat the crap out of her' and Dan does that sort of 'should I or shouldn't I' step and then grabs his coat and we all know where he's going!
