They often edited the episodes for syndication, though when shown abroad they tended to show the uncut versions. I can think of at least one 2-3 minute scene that most US audiences don't seem to have seen, in the Season 5 Christmas episode. Very disappointing if the DVDs are gonna be the edited versions, I'm sure they promised us that they wouldn't be.
