Has anyone encountered this before: (gdb) r Starting program: /usr/local/kde/3.1/bin/rosegarden [New Thread 1024 (LWP 29100)] ERROR: Communication problem with rosegarden, it probably crashed.
Program exited with code 0377. Here is a snippet of part of my build so you can see what compiler options are being used: if g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I/usr/local/kde/3.1/include -I/usr/local/qt/3.1/include -I/usr/X11R6/include -I../base -I../sound -fexceptions -DQT_THREAD_SUPPORT -D_REENTRANT -DRGKDE3 -Wnon-virtual-dtor -Wno-long-long -Wundef -Wall -pedantic -W -Wpointer-arith -Wmissing-prototypes -Wwrite-strings -ansi -D_XOPEN_SOURCE=500 -D_BSD_SOURCE -Wcast-align -Wconversion -fno-builtin -g3 -fno-exceptions -fno-check-new -fexceptions -MT segmentcanvas.o -MD -MP -MF ".deps/segmentcanvas.Tpo" \ -c -o segmentcanvas.o `test -f 'segmentcanvas.cpp' || echo './'`segmentcanvas.cpp; \ then mv ".deps/segmentcanvas.Tpo" ".deps/segmentcanvas.Po"; \ else rm -f ".deps/segmentcanvas.Tpo"; exit 1; \ fi Another thing -- whats the deal with -fno-exceptions and -fexceptions? Oh and yes, I did try starting rosegardensequencer separately. -- Levi Burton http://www.puresimplicity.net/~ldb/ ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Etnus, makers of TotalView, The best thread debugger on the planet.
