Error messages? We might be able to help. > is a step by step HowTo for this or possibly a .rpm to accomplish this? My Red Hat has someething called "the Planet" where a lot of this stuff reputedly is. I know nothing about it, or whether they'd have packages for that particular version of RH, but it's probably worth a look. Let's see... I googled, and turned up this: http://ccrma-www.stanford.edu/planetccrma/software/soundapps.html#SECTION000323400000000000000 Your distro is listed, so it looks like you go to a bash prompt (as root, or with sudo, of course) and type apt-get install jack-audio-connection-kit apt-get install jack-audio-connection-kit-devel To start the jack server type: jackstart -R -d alsa -d hw -r 44100 This will start jackd with realtime priority, using the first hardware alsa device and with a sampling rate of 44100. Type ``jackstart -h'' for some help and ``jackstart -d alsa -h'' for help on parameters for the alsa driver interface. Once the server is running other applications will be able to connect to it and stream audio. There's also a list of RPMs there. If that doesn't get you going, I can't be of much further assistance. I've never run Red Hat. -- Michael McIntyre USDA zone 6b in SW VA, USA Silvan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Linux Druid ----------[ registered Linux user #243621 ]--------- http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Rue/5407/index.html ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: eBay Get office equipment for less on eBay! http://adfarm.mediaplex.com/ad/ck/711-11697-6916-5 _______________________________________________ Rosegarden-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] - use the link below to unsubscribe https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/rosegarden-devel
