I've been playing about with spec files quite unsuccessfully so I wondered if anyone else wanted to have an attempt at knocking up a SUSE spec file for RPMs? The ones on apps.kde.com you have to pay for, and I don't like that, and considering I run SuSE 8.0 and Chris runs SuSE 8.2 we could quite easily knock up a couple of RPMs which would fit the bill, we could publish ourselves and be generally "right". SuSE's own RPM of RG-4-0.8.5 was pretty poor - not only suffering from that weird compiler related issue but also from missing files.
I've checked in a half hack of a spec file (rosegarden/rosegarden-4suse.spec) based on the redhat one. It mainly works but I've not got a clue about the desktop related installation stuff (copied from the RH spec file). Anyone with a clue is welcome to poke, or even just come up with the RPMs if they can. I would like in future that we gave a release of our own canonical RPMs at or around the time of release for the major distros at least.
