If you do a "Cut and Close" operation using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+X, a very small popup menu window appears some distance away from the cursor. The problem is the entire popup window is uniformly grey, meaning the text of the two menu items is invisible. Nonetheless the two menu items are correctly highlighted in pale grey (but the text is still invisible) whenever you move the pointer on top of either item, and also the menu items can be selected if you click on them.
