Testing the new build... All the sequencer stuff seems to be working now, G.
Sounds good. I jiggled lots of things without getting it to stumble. Solo
works, mute buttons work... I didn't test recording or repeats.

Anyway, I loaded a file played it, then imported a file. Nothing is playing
at all, no matter where I point the respective tracks. I thought it might be
some document change cleanup problem, but then I looked and saw this:

WARNING: Invalid utf8 octet sequence in string " IMPORTANT NOTE: This
song file requires a patch bank " at index 0
WARNING: Invalid utf8 octet sequence in string " for proper playback!

WTF? I guess there's some unexpected stuff in the .mid file I imported. I'm
not going to file a bug and upload the file because it's music ripped out of
an old Sierra game.

Anyway, this is a first in all the time I've been using RG. Not sure if it
actually qualifies as a bug or not, since most likely the blame lies with the
original file.

Hmmm.... Imported another one from a completely different source, and still
no noise. Maybe this *is* a doc loading problem.

Or not.

Damned strange. I exited/restarted. Tried importing that file again. Looks
OK, and it's transmitting the program changes, but no notes. I've verified
that it's not just a matter of volume being off on every channel. No notes.

Exited/restared again. No notes. Exited, started sequencer separately, then
GUI, and now it's working. WTF?

I'll try to figure it out.
