It was tricky, and awkward. I'm not actually suggesting that, but I am suggesting something. Some key to press while dragging perhaps. There doesn't seem to be any undoing the newly inserted note. The note sounds too often. If I drag a note slowly, I can get it to sound four times before I've actually moved the note anywhere. Otherwise, seems fine.
