Well, looks like there's some newer AlsaDriver.cpp version in CVS. So maybe 
something has changed, but in the early version I have, only SSPs were being 
sent. I'm not sure which way is worse - continous SSPs during playback, or 
continous SSPs _and_ MIDI clocks during playback (won't they either be 
redundant or contradict eachother?).

I'll probably end up hacking my personal copy to only send clocks until this 
gets sorted out.

Maybe we'll learn more as more people use it. I've never heard of using SSP as 
a clock device before this, but maybe it's more common nowadays then I 
thought. I guess the question is how many listening devices understand it.
