That's not a bad idea.  I can't see why not - unless they override some
default window manager behaviour for most cases..?

Actually the spacebar is used to toggle/untoggle recording - unfortunately it
doesn't work while playing yet (so you can't punch in/out yet) but that's the
idea.  And there are shortcuts for Play/Stop/Rewind etc. already defined
along Emagic Logic lines.  In fact this whole setup (including the spacebar
for punch in/out) is along Logic default lines.  And that's a good enough 
model for me plus it's easily changed if anyone needs to.
