Shouldn't be too hard. Might take a bit of tweaking, but at least it's the sort of feature that's easy to test. The only complication is that the Grid combo on the toolbar and the Grid option on the View menu are actually set up slightly differently. For the combo, check out MatrixView::initActionsToolbar() in gui/matrixview.cpp for where it's populated, and slotSetSnapFromIndex() in the same file for the function that's called when its value changes. For the menu, the actions are read from the gui/matrix.rc XML file, and slotSetSnapFromAction() (again in matrixview.cpp) is the function that's called for a change.
