We prefer a cvs diff -u sent to the list.

If all of this is pretty well hidden from the user interface side and doesn't
break anything (!!!), they might even let you sneak it in. The 1.0 official
beta and bug fixing period doesn't seem to be going anywhere fast. I've
never seen so little CVS or rosegarden-bugs activity. I think I'm the only
one all month who has closed any bug reports, and I haven't been coding at
all.

I'd probably scream more loudly than anyone about changes to the UI, and I
don't think I would object to some obscure new config option being snuck in
under the rug.

I said might and maybe and stuff, so that could definitely mean "wait until
after 1.0." For my own part, I couldn't care less about any of this, since I
don't know an MTC from an STP from a DSZTQ, but hey, it sounds fancy, and if
you're willing to code it, more power to you I say. We could do with a lot
more people who say "I want" and then follow up with "here's the patch."

Depending on how long it takes you, getting it in before 1.0 might not even be
an issue. Either way, don't fritter your inspiration away waiting on us to
get around to anything. Development here moves in fits and spurts, and right
now, it ain't fittin' or spurtin' either one.
