I saw immediate potential for that as a way to play with post-processing my
recordings to try to make up for my absolutely dismal acoustic environment,
but it took years before it ever worked well enough to use, and I finally had
to sell out and trade system stability to pay the price for that. It's been
an uneasy thing, and the irony is that I haven't actually used it for
anything yet. I'm too busy to have time for a full blown multi-track,
audio-intensive project anyway.

And hey, don't get me wrong on the synth plugin front. It's icing to me,
sure, but extremely tasty icing. It's one of the coolest things I've seen in
years as far as the potential it has. It's just the realization so far has
been pretty limited.

I'll be happy to see a passle of DSSI plugins develop so I can push back or
entirely avoid all those winey ones. I really should get that working at
least far enough to reach a point where I can talk about it in more than a
theoretical way though.
