Chris and Guillaume,
This is my method for reliably reproducing the bug in the matrix editor
that causes the second-half of the canvas to disappear:
1) Open a single-track composition of at least 100-bars length in the
matrix editor.
2) Scroll at any speed to the end of the composition.
3) Sweep-select between 5 and 10 full bars at the end of the composition.
4) Drag your selection about, say, 5 to 10 bars towards the left.
** 5) Observe the second-half of the matrix canvas becomes completely
white when you release the mouse button.
6) Close the matrix editor.
7) Re-open the matrix editor.
8) Observe the second-half of the canvas has re-appeared.
9) Repeat steps 2-8 if desired.
Can you both try this procedure please?

I'm using latest CVS and the matrix editor is definitely still completely
broken. Can you remember the exact procedure you followed that used to
trigger the bug for you?

No, it makes no difference. I always do "make clean" anyway.
