Possible reasons.

1. You are editing a PO file which has ,say, utf-8 in a header (open
sb.po in a text editor and look) as, say, cp1251file.

2. You use non-unicode font file for editing in poEdit.

What happens if you open this file in some text editor (e.g. Kate),
which renders text with a Unicode font file and look, whether the text
is in Unicode or some other encoding? You can send me your file
privately, I can look at it now.
