Yes. You've hit a bug in Rosegarden-4 v0.9.8, which incorrectly saved lyrics containing certain accented characters. This bug was introduced in the 0.9.8 release (it didn't exist in 0.9.7) and was fixed in the 0.9.9 release made at the end of July 2004. The problem only affects saving, not loading. This means that files saved from versions 0.9.9 and newer can be loaded by 0.9.8, but files that are affected by this bug from 0.9.8 cannot be loaded by any version of Rosegarden. Fortunately it's fairly easy to fix up a file after it's been saved. I attach a fixed version of the file you sent (you may wish to check the lyrics for words containing accented characters to make sure they are correct). If you have any other files affected, let me know and I can either fix them for you or describe how. Of course, I also suggest you upgrade your version of Rosegarden, preferably to the 1.0 release that came out last week. Chris
