This is interesting.  I'm still working with the same build I commented on 
previously.  Now I'm no longer seeing the behavior I just described above.  I 
am, however, observing that the blue line has a distinct "crawling" 
appearance from top to bottom.  There's a flicker in it, some flash of white 
or something.
