It doesn't look like the opposite hue and value to me, but it doesn't look XORed either, and unless scons dropped the ball and didn't install something for some reason, this should have your stuff. Like... A medium pastel pink close to the color of a recording segment-in-progress, and the previews are solid black. That doesn't seem to compute, but it's 3:00 in the morning and I worked 15 hours today. I think I should worry about thinking about this some other day. Overall whatever is happening looks OK to me.
