Hey, I didn't call it that!  It called itself that (gui/tabtrack.*).

No, AFAIK there's no way to make it validate.  In practice I find that's 
not a problem as often as I would have expected, and indeed sometimes 
helpful (it makes it nice and easy to support more than one format with 
the same parser for backward compatibility).  Sometimes trappy though, 
certainly.

I actually don't currently have the libxml development files on here, so 
I will install and have a go.  Hope to give more feedback in the next 
day or so.
