I took care of a couple of things that have been on my TODO list for eons, and fixed one bug that confused me for a long time and wasted more of my day than I had intended to devote to it. I added a ton of new colors to the default autoload, which I think is a very nice improvement, and I also added the GM percussion map while I was in there.
When I get back tomorrow, or perhaps the day after, I'll look at all this web stuff we've been talking about off-list and try to get something finished. I'll commit it and give you the heads up to publish it when I do. I put together a start on a list of what has changed for 1.1, or whatever we actually call it, which I will send before the day is out. This one is for my thoughts as to what we need to do before we can release. * I think the segment canvas is far enough along that we should wait for it. * multi-track audio seems fine, and should go in * we should wait for you and Pedro to hash out what should be done with percussion maps, and get those rounded out and put in * we need to get your fixed icons and punch in fixes merged into HEAD * we need to look at the other main window icons for further problems (notation/peripheral icons are going to have to sit until the next release, I think, because I'm not going to get them all finished in the near future, and it's better to do the switch as an all or nothing) * I need to fix segment preview colors and recording segment colors * I need to make the aforementioned changes to the web stuff, and get the guidelines out Those are the main points I have in mind. Probably call it a feature freeze right after you hash out the last of the percussion map stuff, then work on bugs. There are a number of other bugs we should squash before the release too, but I don't have a clear idea in mind at the moment what they are. I'll run through the tracker and put everything else I think is absolutely release-critical up to 9, and move everything that isn't down to 8. What do you think about trying to shoot for August 1? Sooner would be better, but that seems like a reasonably practical target, considering how little time any of us have right now. -- Michael McIntyre ---- Silvan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Linux fanatic, and certified Geek; registered Linux user #243621 http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Rue/5407/ http://rosegarden.sourceforge.net/tutorial/ ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Discover Easy Linux Migration Strategies from IBM.
