Of course. KDE depends on Qt, if you upgrade one without the other, you're breaking your setup. > 3) After a complet OS reinstallation, other way : an kde-gcc package, > wich contains a Qt ; pkg-installed, looks good and (apparently) no > problem with KDE : aRts works, timidity works, etc. And Rosegarden > accepts this Qt release, compils and ... see my "trace"... > > In the fact, KDE is in /usr/sfw and kde-gcc/Qt in /usr/csw. Your linking command seems to be trying to pick up KDE and Qt libs in two different places at once : -L/opt/csw/kde-gcc/lib -L/opt/sfw/kde/lib I'm sorry but this isn't a Rosegarden-specific problem, your whole KDE/Qt environment is broken. I suggest you try compiling a simple external KDE application to see if you can do that, konversation is a good candidate : http://konversation.kde.org/ > Also you are right meaning a conflict between KDE and my new Qt. Option 5 : Remove all current installs of Qt and KDE, and compile Qt and KDE yourself. -- Guillaume. http://www.telegraph-road.org ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the 'Do More With Dual!' webinar happening July 14 at 8am PDT/11am EDT.
