Mystery solved-- kind of. I don't remember how it works on earlier Qt versions, but on this one there is a incredible number of colors listed under the color selector. What happens is that as the list gets larger it starts to span multiple columns when it's expanded, and the width of the color drop-down/selector matches that width. In my instance it occupies the entire screen, thus forcing the drop-down to occupy that width and then some. I'm not sure how to fix this, short of only allowing a hundred colors or so (there are actually 418 colors listed!) before it gets too wide. Is there any way to force it to use a scrolling list instead of an expanded list for choosing colors? Some different type of widget I'm sure.
