It seems that KDE's developers can not understand the complexity of plural forms of languages except english. Only 2 forms of plural are not enough for some language. If you look at the gettext doc, you can see that they suggest the use of ngettext() instead of _() to enable more forms of plural. Some GNU softwares do it well.

Hi,

I've just started evaluating how much time it will take me to update
ru.po and found out that plural nouns are not introduced yet. This is
a must-fix for a stable i18n-able release.

Example: matrixview.cpp:2523
