I don't see anything wrong in the XML, and the segment shows up if I flush and reload the file. I couldn't coax my way into an update any other way. Oh, and there was no recording preview at all this time. As for audio, I have no idea. I'm still trying to figure this new soundcard out, and I have no idea what I'm doing yet.
