I don't have anything in depth to add at this particular moment, but Pedro is 
making sense so far.  I like the idea of having a chooseable thing where you 
can make it simple (the current behavior) or as complicated as you need it to 
be, down to one device and channel per track, and yes, make me happy by 
making it possible to filter out the extra note ons that just started showing 
up mysteriously in the last while, even though the keyboard has been broken 
for eight years.
