Hi again, I nearly forgot to report that absense of /dev/seq or /dev/sequencer turns Rosegarden to a zombie. No kidding. I use RG on an ASUS M6 laptop, and it obviously doesn't have hardware midi sequencer in its poor internal soundchip, so udev doesn't create these devices at system startup. Thus, whenever I forget to first run my script that calls mknod twice, I have to manually kill Rosegarden.
Is there a single chance to develop a vaccine that would cure RG? :) (Yes, I know that midi-over-jack will be the cure for many people whatever century it will be implemented in) Alexandre ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
