The next release of Rosegarden will appear during the next few weeks, and preliminary release candidate packages are expected within a couple of days.
The translation strings have changed significantly since the 1.0 release. If your language translation has not been updated, we would appreciate it if you could submit an update during the next week. A REQUEST: If you know that you will not be able to update the Rosegarden translation for this release, or if you are no longer able to continue to maintain the Rosegarden translation at all, *please* could you reply either to me or to one of the Rosegarden lists to say so. (The same applies if you do not feel that you were ever an "official maintainer", as opposed to a helpful contributor of some translation strings at an earlier time.) It would help us a great deal to know which of our (former) translators are still active. An easy way to check the most current copy of your translation file is to use the SourceForge CVS browser, with a URL like: http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/*checkout*/rosegarden/po/es.po (replacing es.po with the correct .po file for your language). The following translations do not appear to have been updated since the 1.0 release, and are almost certainly out of date: File Language Last update Last translator ---- -------- ----------- --------------- cy.po Welsh Ancient KD at KGyfieithu <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> de.po German Around 1.0 Eckhard Jokisch <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> et.po Estonian Ancient Hasso Tepper <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> fr.po French Before 1.0 Didier Burli <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ja.po Japanese Before 1.0 oota toshiya <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> nl.po Dutch Ancient Jelmer Vernooij <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> zh_CN.po Chinese S Around 1.0 Liu Songhe <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> The following translations have had more recent updates: ca.po 2005/11/04 cs.po 2005/10/22 en_GB.po 2005/11/26 es.po 2005/09/15 And the following translations have been updated since my first "call to translators" a week ago: it.po 2006/01/16 ru.po 2006/01/13 sv.po 2006/01/14 If you have any further questions, please reply to me to ask.
