What else do we want to do with the new track parameters? I see it as a place to put defaults for newly created segments, but not properties to override whatever a segment might already possess.
Default color, default transposition for sure. Default clef would be really awesome. I'm sick of having to put in a treble clef in a segment that's already defaulting to an unwritten treble clef anyway. What are you already working on, Pedro, and what are your immediate plans? I might tinker around with default color and default transposition myself this week, if it's not going to get in anyone's way. I've wanted something like that for ages, since about everything I do notation wise is for a Bb instrument, and since I got sick of the default puke green segments years ago, and always do my own stuff with one of my myriad purrrrty colors. I'd rather change the color once and forget about it. Probably change the default color for every track in my autoload, I expect. I'm bored, and this idea is appealing, so if nobody answers in the next while, I'll probably go rooting around anyway. Or maybe I'll just go do it now. I'm really, really bored, and I fixed all the bugs on my list already tonight. Except the one I decided to live with. Some vacation this is turning out to be, eh? I want to let things settle down some before I start writing "Editing Notation with Rosegarden and LilyPond" though. Too much is likely to change in the near future in the GUI until all of this new stuff shakes out into something semi-permanent. -- D.
