I've run into this twice now, and I still haven't gotten a good stack trace. There's something really nasty lurking in here somewhere. The GUI goes down, and the sequencer continues the play operation. Recording too?
Yes. Recording too. Size of my audio directory over a few moments: 2997404 2997676 2997836 2998000 2999068 No particular insight here. I had been working on that session since the last crash, over a couple of days. I warmed it back up today, hit record, and boom. Wait a minute... Here's an insight. I just noticed my JACK transport was rolling. I must have been fooling with something and turned JACK transport sync back on. This is probably related. Sorry there's nothing fundamentally helpful about any of this. I'm just too busy with the project to take time out to see about getting a proper account of this bug. -- D.
